His rhetoric seeks to not only stigmatizes mental health treatment but also pave the way for policies that could deny patients access to essential medications, turning them and potentially Drs. into ‘dangerous criminals’ for facilitating the transfer or seeking procurement of what are essential life saving medications for many people.

Notice a pattern? Seem familiar? After homosexuals, they go for minorities. After that, they go for mental health. Authoritarian regimes have historically weaponized psychiatry to suppress dissent and control populations. In Nazi Germany, the Aktion T4 program systematically exterminated individuals with mental and physical disabilities, deeming them "life unworthy of life." Based on history we can expect expanded attacks and “crackdowns” on other groups of undesirables or “inconsequentials” as they are reportedly being colloquially called by MAGA insiders. Expect to see persecution of the poor and unhoused, Political dissidents and whistleblowers, academics and intellectuals, Religious Minorities and Non-Conformists, Workers and Union Organizers, “non productive citizens” - such as those who are disabled, elderly, or chronically ill or a “drain on the system/state”. Many, many things are already happening both in action and in small gestures, wording and policy shifts that signal all of these will come to pass. Perhaps it’s just a coincidence and they will not follow any of the other historical precedents beyond mass alienation and erasure?
